Food Processing Department Quality Commission Held Its First Meeting

Yalova University Armutlu Vocational School Food Processing Department Quality Commission held its first meeting to plan the quality processes for the 2025–2026 academic year.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Department Head Prof. Dr. Derya Güroy, with the participation of faculty members Lect. Dr. Selin Kayalı, Asst. Prof. Dr. Aydın Aytaç Gürdal, Lect. Emine Bakır, external stakeholder representative Mehmet Fatih Kayalı, and student representative Bahtunur Birinci.

During the meeting, issues such as reviewing the department's quality policy and core values, creating the 2026 quality work calendar, aligning mission and vision statements with the university's strategic plan, integrating program outcomes into the quality process, and establishing a student–external stakeholder feedback mechanism were discussed.

In her speech at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Güroy emphasized that the Food Processing Department aims to strengthen its quality culture and continuously improve its education, research, and social contribution processes. She also highlighted the importance of integrating stakeholder participation and practical training processes with quality management.

At the end of the meeting, it was decided that the resolutions would be included in the department's quality file and that regular monitoring meetings would be held in line with the determined work schedule.
